Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials , Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SAAB AB ser. B (ST: SAABb ), which rose 11.56% or 37.00 points to trade at 356.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST: SEBa ) added 1.68% or 2.90 points to end at 175.55 and Investor AB ser. B (ST: INVEb ) was up 1.59% or 5.10 points to 324.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST: SBBb ), which fell 2.30% or 0.09 points to trade at 4.01 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST: HMb ) declined 1.18% or 1.70 points to end at 142.50 and NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST: NIBEb ) was down 1.14% or 0.50 points to 39.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 443 to 344 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in SAAB AB ser. B (ST: SAABb ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 11.56% or 37.00 to 356.50. Shares in Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST: SEBa ) rose to all time highs; rising 1.68% or 2.90 to 175.55.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.42% or 0.29 to $69.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.21% or 0.15 to hit $72.66 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.88% or 53.41 to trade at $2,901.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 1.17% to 11.04, while USD/SEK fell 2.14% to 10.52.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.04% at 106.43.
