Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials , Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.52%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE: WRT1V ), which rose 1.62% or 0.30 points to trade at 18.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE: ORNBV ) added 1.44% or 0.82 points to end at 57.70 and Elisa Oyj (HE: ELISA ) was up 0.79% or 0.36 points to 46.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank Abp (HE: NDAFI ), which fell 6.76% or 0.87 points to trade at 12.00 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ) declined 3.79% or 0.37 points to end at 9.28 and Kemira Oyj (HE: KEMIRA ) was down 2.88% or 0.62 points to 20.88.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 75 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE: ORNBV ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 1.44% or 0.82 to 57.70.
Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.29% or 0.21 to $72.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.43% or 0.29 to hit $68.36 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.73% or 22.31 to trade at $3,021.49 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.08% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 103.76.
