Finland stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 down 0.79%

Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities , Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.79%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE: KOJAMO ), which rose 1.28% or 0.11 points to trade at 8.71 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ) added 0.52% or 0.05 points to end at 8.86 and Kemira Oyj (HE: KEMIRA ) was up 0.39% or 0.08 points to 20.48 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE: FORTUM ), which fell 4.55% or 0.67 points to trade at 13.96 at the close. Hiab Oyj (HE: HIAB ) declined 2.40% or 1.03 points to end at 41.90 and Sampo Oyj A (HE: SAMPO ) was down 1.76% or 0.16 points to 8.71.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 111 to 57 and 20 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.17% or 0.13 to $74.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.32% or 0.23 to hit $71.43 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 19.81 to trade at $3,165.81 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 103.41.
