Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare , Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT: CPRI ), which rose 2.95% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Buzzi Unicem (BIT: BZU ) added 2.40% or 1.08 points to end at 46.10 and Poste Italiane SpA (BIT: PST ) was up 1.38% or 0.23 points to 16.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Leonardo SpA (BIT: LDOF ), which fell 3.08% or 1.42 points to trade at 44.62 at the close. Recordati (BIT: RECI ) declined 2.18% or 1.15 points to end at 51.70 and Amplifon (BIT: AMPF ) was down 2.17% or 0.41 points to 18.49.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 317 to 194 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Poste Italiane SpA (BIT: PST ) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.38% or 0.23 to 16.85. Shares in Amplifon (BIT: AMPF ) fell to 3-years lows; down 2.17% or 0.41 to 18.49.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.42% or 0.30 to $71.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.27% or 0.20 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 22.79 to trade at $3,168.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 103.42.
