Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 1.72% to hit a new 5-year high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (BVC: ETB ), which rose 9.68% or 4.50 points to trade at 51.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ) added 6.98% or 880.00 points to end at 13,480.00 and Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC: ISA ) was up 4.71% or 900.00 points to 20,000.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC: NCH ), which fell 1.38% or 1,720.00 points to trade at 123,280.00 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC: CFV ) declined 0.86% or 140.00 points to end at 16,200.00 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) was down 0.78% or 300.00 points to 38,000.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC: BVC ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 6.98% or 880.00 to 13,480.00.
US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.50% or 1.95 to $387.10 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 8.83% or 722.00 to hit $8,899.00 , while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.40% or 44.00 to trade at $3,190.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.07% to 4,151.25, while BRL/COP fell 0.08% to 732.79.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 103.34.
