Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology , Banking and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 3.14%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Santander Bank Polska SA (WA: SPL1 ), which rose 6.53% or 31.90 points to trade at 520.40 at the close. Meanwhile, CCC SA (WA: CCCP ) added 5.92% or 12.20 points to end at 218.40 and Synektik (WA: SNTP ) was up 5.82% or 11.00 points to 200.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA: PKN ), which fell 0.52% or 0.33 points to trade at 63.68 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA: KGH ) added 0.60% or 0.65 points to end at 108.60 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA: ATTP ) was up 0.78% or 0.15 points to 19.49.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 390 to 173 and 72 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.21% or 0.13 to $60.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.34% or 0.22 to hit $63.99 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.68% or 49.99 to trade at $3,023.59 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.46% to 4.27, while USD/PLN fell 0.59% to 3.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 103.00.
