Turkey stocks lower at close of trade; BIST 100 down 0.61%

Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms , Banking and Transport sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.61%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS: BRYAT ), which rose 9.98% or 200.00 points to trade at 2,204.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS: KARSN ) added 4.04% or 0.42 points to end at 10.81 and Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS: BRSAN ) was up 3.63% or 14.00 points to 399.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS: TKFEN ), which fell 5.97% or 8.50 points to trade at 133.90 at the close. ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS: ENKAI ) declined 5.79% or 3.75 points to end at 61.00 and Grainturk Holding AS (IS: GRTHO ) was down 4.88% or 16.25 points to 316.75.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 356 to 216 and 21 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.89% or 63.36 to $3,285.24 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.11% or 0.07 to hit $62.86 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.05 to trade at $66.60 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.20% to 38.42, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 43.74.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 99.36.
