Netherlands stocks lower at close of trade; AEX down 0.02%

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology , Industrials and Construction & Materials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.02%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were ArcelorMittal SA (AS: MT ), which rose 1.39% or 0.36 points to trade at 26.32 at the close. Meanwhile, ABN AMRO Group NV (AS: ABNd ) added 1.37% or 0.25 points to end at 18.19 and Universal Music Group NV (AS: UMG ) was up 0.97% or 0.24 points to 25.03 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were IMCD NV (AS: IMCD ), which fell 2.50% or 3.00 points to trade at 117.00 at the close. Adyen NV (AS: ADYEN ) declined 1.75% or 25.60 points to end at 1,440.80 and ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ) was down 0.75% or 4.40 points to 584.50.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 71 to 26 and 9 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.90% or 1.20 to $61.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.98% or 1.30 to hit $64.50 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 45.86 to trade at $3,344.26 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.85.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 98.99.
