Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials , Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ), which rose 0.64% or 0.06 points to trade at 9.38 at the close. Meanwhile, EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI: EDP ) added 0.15% or 0.01 points to end at 3.37 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI: JMT ) was down 0.47% or 0.10 points to 21.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galp Energia Nom (ELI: GALP ), which fell 3.01% or 0.42 points to trade at 13.56 at the close. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI: MOTA ) declined 2.89% or 0.10 points to end at 3.43 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI: CORA ) was down 2.12% or 0.16 points to 7.37.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 16 to 7 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.64% or 0.06 to 9.38.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.93% or 1.27 to $64.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.89% or 1.19 to hit $61.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.44% or 47.49 to trade at $3,345.89 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 98.99.
