Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.09%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed , Communication and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.09% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE: TEVA ), which rose 10.65% or 584.00 points to trade at 6,069.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE: ESLT ) added 4.18% or 5,840.00 points to end at 145,560.00 and Nova (TASE: NVMI ) was up 2.98% or 2,080.00 points to 71,880.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE: ENOG ), which fell 3.75% or 158.00 points to trade at 4,057.00 at the close. Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE: ASHG ) declined 3.08% or 177.00 points to end at 5,561.00 and Airport City Ltd (TASE: ARPT ) was down 3.07% or 166.00 points to 5,240.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 254 to 213 and 70 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.60% or 0.95 to $58.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.35% or 0.84 to hit $61.29 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 21.30 to trade at $3,257.00 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was down 0.81% to 3.59, while EUR/ILS fell 0.78% to 4.05.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 99.84.
